**How to Use the Enamel Nib Pen Kit**
Place a small amount of **True Colors Black 424** powder on the glass mixing palette.
Using the dropper from the **Oil Paint Mixing Medium** bottle, add a few drops to the powder. Mix well with the mixing knife until it becomes a smooth paste. Make sure the mixture is even and homogeneous, with no dry powder lumps.
Next, add a small amount of **Fine Line Lavender Medium** and continue mixing until the paste becomes more fluid and has a smooth, flowing paint consistency.
Dip the **outside of the nib** into the mixed color. Test it on the side first to make sure the color flows smoothly through the nib and transfers onto the enamel surface. Do not press too hard while drawing.
If the mixture is too thick and does not flow, add a little more **Fine Line Lavender Medium**.
If it is too thin, add a little more Black 424 powder.
When you finish working, carefully clean the nib.
Allow the design to dry.
Then fire the piece with a torch or in a kiln.
When using a kiln, first place the piece in the kiln with the door open for about 5 seconds, then remove it when you see smoke beginning to appear. Place it back into the kiln and repeat this process until no more smoke is visible.
Once the smoke has stopped, fire at approximately 1400°F (760°C) for about 1 minute and 30 seconds with the kiln door closed, until the color has fused into the enamel.
Work in a well-ventilated area.
